So this past week, from Saturday onwards, has been schoolies week. Which I evidently am not at. A situation I never would've predicted for my alcohol devoted self. I thought during this week I would be hurting a lot and feeling like I was missing out on all the fun. Alas, the only three things I've briefly been upset over have been:
1. Knowing that if I had gone I would've been drunk 24/7, literally.
2. Kind of slightly missing certain people. But really not too much. If I'm going to be honest.
3. Text messages about things that I really did not need to know about. Although, because I'm a gossip of course I technically do want to know. But at the same time... sometimes friendships depend on mutual ignorance of eachothers true ways. Well I can think of a couple of friendships of mine that do at least. Which kind of makes it a mystery why we're friends at all since I always end up being told about everything wrong/disgusting/stupid that they do. ANYWAY.
I guess my point is that I thought this week would be spent feverishly packing for London (only 9 days to go) and planning what I wanted to do in Paris in an effort to focus on what I'd chosen over the week long binge. But it turned out that its been a good week, and actually to be honest I'm pretty glad that the majority of my friends are hours away. Because they're pretty shit sometimes. But hey, who isn't? Me and my bestest friend, Madeleine, went to Britney Spears on Tuesday and let me tell you, I was sceptical as hell. I was fully ready to be regretting spending my money on some shitty concert where I couldn't even see her. But it was INCREDIBLE. No exaggeration. What a show! I'll never forget how me and Maddie turned to eachother totally screaming and grabbing eachother when Hit Me Baby One More Time came on... it was our childhood dream come true! The whole night really was just that. My six year old self would be proud. And I would'nt have wanted to spend this week with anybody else.
Tonight me and Maddie are going to a show at the lyric theatre...I can't remember what its called but its meant to be funny.
